Do you work like a Psychologist? I am not a psychologist, but there are overlapping areas between what I do and and what a psychologist does.

Are you a Counsellor? What are your qualifications? Yes, I have a Diploma of Counselling. I am also a Master Practitioner of NLP, Time Line Therapy® and Hypnosis. I have studied the relationship between our birth and how it influences the rest of our lives. I studied Voice Dialogue with Dr Hal and Dr Sidra Stone and I have been influenced by many other modalities. I am a great admirer of Anthony Robbins and have taken a number of his seminars. You will hear and feel his work in my sessions.
Do you work with Mental Health issues? I do. I have a deep interest in working with mental health.
I suffer from Panic Attacks - do you offer any support? Both NLP and Timeline Therapy® lend themselves to help with panic attacks AND anxiety.
Do you work with Anxiety Symptoms? Both NLP and Timeline Therapy® lend themselves to help with panic attacks
Do you offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy? Aspects of CBT are in my toolkit and I use them occasionally.
I am on Anxiety Medication. Do you support people like me? Of course I do. Although dealing with your medication or recommending changes is not my area of expertise both legally and professionally. As you experience shifts in your life with our work together, I will recommend you talk to your prescribing professional as to whether a change in dosage is recommendable.
I suffer from Anxiety Attacks - do you offer treatment? Very much so.
What type of support do you offer for Anxiety Disorder? As mentioned above. NLP and Time Line Therapy® are wonderful modalities to get to the bottom of causes for anxiety. Sometimes it is also very helpful to add hypnosis to the mix
Do you offer Marriage Counselling? Yes and beyond that I offer weekends for couples to give their relationship a real boost.
Is Couples Therapy different? Not really. Both are designed to help you upgrade your relationship to a level that is deeply satisfying for both. Having been married for over 30 years myself, I am passionate to help couples find deeper love and connection with themselves and with each other.
What if I need Behavioural Therapy? I certainly wouldn't call my work Behaviour Therapy although a lot of what I do is aimed at helping people change their behaviour in certain areas of their life.
Do you offer PTSD Treatment? Timeline Therapy® is one of the most effective and gentle tools to assist with overcoming PTSD. It is designed to allow people to heal from trauma without having to revisit it.
Do you offer Anxiety Treatment? Most if not all of anxiety is connected to one or more traumas. Both hypnosis and Time Line Therapy® are very helpful.
Are you doing Cognitive Therapy? Although I have no training in traditional Cognitive Therapy, most of my work is informed by the drive to help people improve how they think. Pretty much from the moment I meet a client I will get to work on uplifting and changing their inner thought processes. My modalities for that come from NLP ( something called 're framing' for example ) and many other modalities that are part of my tool kit.
Why on earth would one need Premarital Counselling? Oh, how I wish I could do more of that. Sadly, virtually no one comes to me for help with setting up and maintaining a long term, exciting and delicious relationship. Generally, people come for relationship counselling to me when they are dealing with big problems.
How does the Grief Counselling?Grieving is a significant and absolutely essential part of healing from loss and trauma. I feel always deeply honoured to be able share and assist with someones grief and help them through the the 5 stages : denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Sometimes we can get stuck in Grief and struggle to move on. Time Line Therapy® can be a great healer for that.
Do you work with Solution Focused Therapy? My whole work is solutions oriented. In our first session we will establish what you are dealing with and what goals you want to achieve by the time we are finished. However, I am not a Solutions Focused Therapist by training or in practice. I will give my all to help you get the solutions you are looking for, though.
What is Psychotherapy? A psychotherapist is trained in helping people to talk through their problems, anxieties and traumas. Being able to share with someone trained who doesn't only know how to respond but also what to ask can be deeply transformational.
What is Talk Therapy? Psychotherapy is often referred to as talk therapy, as is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT ), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy ( DBT ) and Psychodynamic Therapy. Humanistic Therapy, which encompasses Client Centred and Existential Therapy is also in the talk therapy family
What is Trauma Therapy? Technically speaking, all therapy is Trauma Therapy. When we see the word therapy, trauma, counselling, PTSD, Anxiety, Trauma Treatment, Phobia, Grief, Depression, Eating Disorders, Behavioural, Marriage and couples Therapy, Drug Therapy, Anger Management, Addiction Management, something or other Disorder, Stress et al, at the root of the pain we experience is one or more traumas. Any successful therapy, no matter what it is called and how it gets there will be successful because it helped facilitate to make peace with, or dissolve/resolve a trauma or a group of traumas.
